K and I have just about set the date (September 20, 2008). I keep thinking that the this particular date is great because 08/20/2008 is such an easy date to remember, what with all those 0s, 2s, and 8s and all. Then I realize that September is the ninth month (thanks mom) and that 08/20/2008 look so familiar because it is my birthday.
The only thing we know of that is hanging us up on the date is that we have to have a formal meeting / conversation with the deacon of the church. He's on vacation this week, so that'll have to wait until next week.
The hall itself is not in the best neighborhood at first blush. But then you quickly realize its appeal when you enter. It has a great view of Manhattan. In contrast, if we had the wedding in Manhattan, we would only be able to have a view of Brooklyn, or ::shudder:: New Jersey. Also, it is down the street from Peter Luger. So it is actually a pretty swanky area.
Most important of all is the menu selection.
That's it for now. I hope to be adding more posts soon.

Calm down Meg, I'd imagine in the end we'll be looking at just the Buffet menu, waaaay at the bottom.
