Pre-Cana

We went to Pre-Cana last Friday and Saturday. It was pretty much what I had expected. For those of you who don't know, it is a requirement for being married in a Catholic church. It is split into two sections, one on Friday night (7:30-9) and one during Saturday day (9-4).

The evening session was pretty much a quick mass w/out the Eucharist. A married couple (25 years) led the day session. They would speak for 30 minutes or so, and then we'd do a page from a work book, separately. K would stay at the table while I go to the side of the room. We'd each answer the same questions and then compare our answers. I think the point was to make sure that we at least discussed all the major marriage-esque topics and were on the same page. K and I did very well. We agreed on pretty much everything.

They provided lunch. It was pretty good. K and I sat with an Italian couple who have been in the country for 10 years and lived in Boston for most of the time. Red Sox fans. Overall though, there was very little couple interaction.
